Business Analyst is responsible for supporting the delivery of business solutions by effectively and efficiently managing the definition, analysis, delivery and maintenance of business, project and system requirements. Prepares detailed documentation from which project/product design will be written. Competent to complete the analysis for all types of application projects. Consults on design solutions and functionality decisions. Aids in the development of user interfaces. Has a basic understanding of web development.
Responsibilities:
Analysis and Solution Definition.
Collect and analyze the project’s business requirements and transferring the same knowledge to development team.
Combine knowledge of what the business wants with knowledge of how the systems are built and used to create functional designs across applications.
Documents requirements, specifications, business processes and recommendations related to proposed solution.
Quickly understands the business issues and information challenges of client's organization and industry.
Identifies client organization's strengths and weaknesses and suggests areas of improvement.
Frames and aligns client needs to best of breed web solutions based on industry knowledge.
Gathers requirements by:
o Leading brainstorming sessions
o Conducting calls with US clients to fully understand their needs
o Leveraging third party research
o Business Rules and Requirements
o Creating Uses Cases, User Stories, and User Flows
o Presenting complex concepts in a meaningful and concise manner for clients, project stakeholders, team members, and end users.
o Understanding organizational dependencies, regulatory constraints, technical limitations, and other factors that may impact the user experience.
o Ability to identify risks and provide potential solutions.
o Communicating and collaborating with project managers, information architects, developers, designers, and clients in all stages of the project lifecycle.
o Working in a team environment.
Desired Skills and Experience:
o BA, BS degree or demonstrable experience of Business Analysis
o Four or more years of experience in the web/eCommerce industry
o Experience in Netsuite is highly desired
o An understanding of web system technologies such as relational databases, server side programming, client side scripting, analytics, rich media formats, and mobile specific technologies
o Experience with Content Management Systems is highly desired
o Strong analytical skills
o Strong attention to detail and the ability to think strategically
o Strong oral and written communication skills, facilitation skills, negotiation skills, collaborative working skills and presentation skills
o Strong organizational skills and be able to multi task, prioritize and shift between project
