Job Description
This role will ensure compliance with legal requirements and corporate standards. The role will manage the operation of the Wastewater Treatment Plant (supported by the Maintenance Department) and will supervise and coordinate the daily environmental activities of the Plant.
This position reports to Colonia EHS Senior Supervisor.
Key responsibilities:
• Ensure ongoing compliance with Local regulations and PepsiCo EHS Standards.
• Management and supervision of the daily operation of the WWTP. Assessment of monitoring results to ensure compliance. Define corrective plans for deviations.
• Lead the environmental incidents investigations and corrective actions. Ensure effective solutions for Near Misses and Environmental Incidents/Events.
• Conduct environmental activities such as training/auditing/risk assessments to ensure compliance with company and governmental requirements. Maintain supporting documentation.
• Ensure compliance with ReCon program (Resource Conservation) to reduce the Plant environmental footprint (Energy, Water, Waste). Identify and correct deviations.
• Ensure compliance with GEHSMS and the use of MyEHS for compliance and reporting activities. Collect, maintain and review supporting documentation and procedures.
• Supervise the Waste Management Program. Ensure compliance with waste disposal and segregation requirements.
• Coordination of the Environmental Audits (ISO 14001; GEHSMS; QEHS), monitoring and measurement activities.
Experience and competencies required:
• Chemical/Technical or Engineering Degree. Masters preferred.
• 2 or more years of experience working with Waste Water Treatment Plants.
• Experience in environmental auditing and implementing ISO14001; (experience with OHSAS18001 will be an advantage).
• Written and verbal skills (Spanish & English).
