Responsible for supporting the Products & Solutions Delivery department at Travel Leaders Group. Performs a variety of complex programming tasks, such as designing, documenting, and coding application programs. Provides application support and enhancements to existing and future applications. Defines system requirements, priorities, and viable alternatives. Coordinates the efforts of staff to locate, assess, install, test, and maintain computer software systems. Coordinates conversions and upgrades to vendor systems. The .NET Developer position requires strong business skills and would be responsible for reviewing, analyzing and modifying systems including encoding, testing, debugging and installing to support application systems. Liaise between business users and IT providers.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
*Plans, schedules, coordinates and implements major software upgrades, new releases, and installation of software applications.
*Coordinates installation of program fixes and troubleshoots programming and system problems associated with applications already in use.
*Provides technical expertise and recommendations in assessing new IT software projects and initiatives to support TLG systems.
*Identifies opportunities that can improve efficiency of business processes.
*Coordinates application development for multiple projects.
*Assists in managing an outsource relationship for 3rd party application development and programming consultants.
*Provides assistance and advice to business users in the effective use of applications and information technology.
*Writes technical procedures and documentation for the applications including operations, user guide, etc.
*Assists in the creation of the system design and functional specifications for all new development projects.
*Performs other IT-related work as required.
Education, Knowledge and Skills:
Requirements:
*5+ years of Microsoft .NET framework experience
*5+ years of experience developing in C#.
*Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent field.
*Knowledge of different software development methodologies (Agile, Scrum, Waterfall, SDLC, etc.)
*Solid understanding of SQL Server concepts (stored procedures, views, schema, entity framework, etc.)
*Basic knowledge of cloud computing concepts (Azure and/or AWS)
*Ability to demonstrate innate knowledge of object oriented concepts and be able to apply them to requirements
*Strong problem solving skills; should be able to research and understand an undocumented set up and application.
*Demonstrated ability to develop relationships and communicate status with IT and Business partners, stakeholders and senior management.
*Demonstrated ability to understand the scope of project status, issues, and risks across multiple project initiatives and platforms and determine the key points that need to be communicated and acted upon.
*Excellent English communication skills, both written and verbal.
