Role - Infrastructure Engineer

Job Responsibilities

Overview
Reporting to the Global Infrastructure Manager with responsibilities for the delivery of Infrastructure activities to match requirements of Axletree Solutions Inc.


Any Engineering graduate with minimum 5 years of experience in Infrastructure/Networking tasks. Must be hands on. Responsibilities include:

1. Infrastructure projects:
a. Design.
b. Implement
c. Maintain
d. Document

2. Server management (Windows and Linux):
a. Install and maintain servers.
b. Update and patch maintenance
c. PowerShell scripting
d. Automation with Ansible, Puppet.
e. Resources and availability monitoring.
f. Troubleshooting
g. Inventory and Documentation

3. Virtualization:
a. Installation and maintenance of the virtual environments at all Axletree sites
b. Snapshot management
c. Resource and availability monitoring
d. Troubleshooting
e. Inventory and Documentation

4. Backups and replications:
a. Maintenance of Virtual machines backup systems
b. Jobs and backup integrity check monitoring
c. NAS backups maintenance
d. External backups rotations
e. Maintenance of virtual machine replication between PROD and DR sites
f. Maintenance and operation of Site Recovery Manager

5. Hardware maintenance:
a. Servers
b. Storages
c. SAN

6. Application Management:
a. IBM MQ Server
b. Symantec DLP
c. Symantec Endpoint Protection
d. Active Directory Administration
e. Office 365 Administration
f. Monitoring tools

7. Certifications required:
a. MCSE: Core Infrastructure
b. Office 365 (Optional)

8. Other duties include:
a. Participate in the On-Call 24/7 support for infrastructure needs
b. Assist in the support ticket resolution and customer projects that involve infrastructure

8. Communicaton skills: Highly proficient in spoken and written English
