Junior QA Engineer

Job Description:

As a Junior QA Engineer, you will work on the Quality Assurance team of development projects, supporting existing applications and new and innovative ones. You will be working side by side with a cross-functional scrum team.

Responsabilities:

Work as part of an Agile development team in the QA of different applications
Compose, automate, and execute test cases according to requirements
Execute tests at all phases of the release cycle including functional, regression testing etc.
Report bugs and errors to development teams
Document bugs effectively and work with the Development team to triage and troubleshoot defects
Document defects into a bug tracking system
Be an active participant in all Agile processes

Required Education & Skills:

University degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience
3+ years’ experience in Quality Assurance with Agile Software Methodologies
Experience with designing and executing manual test cases as well as experience in running, planning and maintaining automated testing scripts (Selenium experience would be an asset)
Ability to document and troubleshoot errors
Experience in documenting bugs details using Jira or other testing tools
Experience with agile methodologies like Scrum, using Jira as Project Management tool
Knowledge on writing and executing SQL querys
Knowledge of Postgres databases is an asset
English working knowledge: verbal and written communication (Mandatory)
Positive attitude and desire to improve is a must
