Medical Billing & Pre-Authorizations Agent

About the Role

We are seeking a Medical Billing & Pre-Authorizations Agent to support revenue cycle operations for a US-based client. This role is responsible for managing billing processes, handling pre-authorizations, and ensuring accurate and compliant account resolution. The position requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to communicate effectively in a professional environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage billing processes by identifying and resolving accounts across multiple payors, ensuring timely collection of outstanding balances.
  • Submit, review, and follow up on pre-authorizations in accordance with established policies and procedures.
  • Maintain accurate and detailed documentation of all account activities within client systems.
  • Respond to inquiries in a timely and professional manner, ensuring effective resolution.
  • Develop and monitor payment arrangements in alignment with client guidelines.
  • Analyze account data to identify discrepancies, trends, and areas for improvement.
  • Ensure compliance with internal policies as well as applicable US healthcare regulations.
  • Meet established productivity and quality standards while working within a structured environment.

Qualifications

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills in English and Spanish.
  • Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Proficiency in computer systems and data entry.
  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Knowledge of medical billing, claims, or pre-authorizations is preferred.
  • Collaborative mindset with the ability to work effectively within a team.

Education & Experience

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • Experience in collections, billing, or customer service is valued.
  • (Alternatively, completion of at least 1 year of university coursework.)
