QA Engineer

Job Summary:

Responsible for supporting the Quality Assurance efforts at the Products & Solutions Delivery department within Travel Leaders Group. Performs exploratory and automated tests to ensure applications quality. Responsible for designing and implementing tests, debugging, and defining corrective actions. Performs system requirements reviews and tracks quality assurance metrics. Provides support to ensure our applications and systems work correctly. Liaise with other team members within Quality Assurance as well as Project Managers, Business Analysts, Developers, and Business Owners. Reports to the QA Manager.

- Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

*Reviews requirements, specifications, and technical design documents to provide timely and meaningful feedback.
*Creates detailed, comprehensive, and well-structured test plans and test cases.
*Estimates, prioritizes, plans, and coordinates testing activities.
*Designs, develops, and executes automation scripts.
*Executes test cases/scripts (manual or automated) and analyzes results
*Identifies, records, and documents thoroughly and tracks bugs.
*Performs thorough regression testing when bugs are resolved.
*Develops and applies testing processes for new and existing applications.
*Liaise with internal teams to identify system requirements.
*Monitors debugging process results.
*Investigates the causes of non-conforming software and trains users to implement solutions.
*Tracks quality assurance metrics.
*Stays up-to-date with new testing tools and test strategies.
*Works with cross-functional teams to ensure quality throughout the software development life cycle.

Education, Knowledge and Skills:

Requirements:

*3+ years of experience as a QA Engineer or similar role.
*Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent field.
*Proven work experience in software development.
*Experience in different software development methodologies (Agile, Scrum, Waterfall, SDLC, etc.)
*Experience in writing clear, concise, and comprehensive test plans and test cases.
*Strong knowledge of software QA methodologies, tools, and processes.
*Working knowledge of test management software and SQL
*Strong problem solving and organizational skills. Attention to detail.
*Demonstrated ability to understand the scope of project status, issues, and risks across multiple project initiatives and platforms and determine the key points that need to be communicated and acted upon.
*Excellent English communication skills, both written and verbal.
