Job Summary:
Responsible for supporting the Data Framework, Business Intelligence, and Reports & Analytics structures across the company. Conduct analysis of current business needs and information flow requirements. Design, administer, and implement data structures, ETL processes, and reporting, at both the database and customer layers. Liaise between business users and IT providers.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
•Designing and creating the underlying data structure and data flows to support the Data Framework, Business Intelligence, and Reports & Analytics departments.
•Gathers requirements and makes recommendations for reporting and dashboards to departments. Develops best practices for reporting, administration, and maintenance in SQL Server. Reports data in a meaningful manner to management to assist in decision making around project and program execution as well as business processes and efficiencies.
•Creates and maintains T-SQL stored procedures, views, functions, or any other needed object.
•Creates and automates ETL processes for data management and other related tasks. Performs data-mining, data scrubbing, quality checking, usability analysis, and identification of anomalies in the data that need to be addressed.
•Prepares and distributes standard and ad-hoc reports for different audiences.
•Responsible for ensuring that Business Intelligence has been identified that should be available to enhance decision making through all support functions within the organization.
•Identifies information bottlenecks, redundancies and opportunities for automation of processes within departments.
•Works closely with other IT teams and business leaders to create “what-if” scenarios as well as predictive and statistical modeling. Assist business leaders in understanding what data is available and how to use the data.
Requirements:
•Bachelor's degree or at least 5 years of relevant experience.
•Hands on experience in SQL Server development and administration.
•Minimum 2 years of experience developing in T-SQL.
•Expertise in data modelling, data migration, ETL strategies, and SSIS.
•Expertise in MS Excel, with proficiency using formulas, macros, pivot tables, linked worksheets, graphing, and other reporting and presentation features
•Able to work with minimal supervision and meet deadlines.
•Ability to translate complex business scenarios into automated processes and business applications.
•Strong problem solving skills; should be able to research and understand an undocumented set up and application.
•Demonstrated ability to develop relationships and communicate status with IT and Business partners, stakeholders and senior management
•Demonstrated ability to understand the scope of project status, issues, risks across multiple project initiatives and platforms and determine the key points that need to be communicated and acted upon
•Excellent English communication skills, both written and verbal
