The offer

Modelit is looking for a technically minded Web Developer to join our team working with the latest technologies from our offices in Montevideo, Uruguay. The ideal candidate will develop, create and suggest new improvements for the development & design of our customer’s apps.

Responsibilities

- Actively participate in all phases of the software development life-cycle.
- Adhere to team design and development standards.
- Collaborate with the wider team on design and code reviews.

Required Skills

- BS in software engineering or computer science or equivalent experience.
- At least 1 or 2 years of experience in programming web sites and web applications.
- Strong skills on any server-side programming language (i.e. Java, PHP, NodeJS).
- Solid Javascript knowledge.
- Experience working with JQuery.
- Strong skills on HTML & CSS implementation.
- Experience working with MVC pattern.
- Experience working with any framework.
- Knowledgeable about latest web technologies trends.

Desirable Skills

- Experience interacting with service layers (i.e. REST APIs, SOAP).
- Experience working with version control systems such as GitHub.
- Experience in agile development environments (i.e. scrum).
