Operations Specialist

RESPONSIBILITIES - Provide higher level support to internal groups and customers with technical EDI issues - Implement and follow up on short term actions (go live, phase out) - Provide root cause analysis for the product development team - Write procedures - Execute impact analysis for new changes or project implementation - Reduce incidents by doing pro-active and preventive support and maintenance - Maintenance of platforms on Linux and Windows servers - Take technical lead in migration projects SKILLS AND ATTITUDE: - Excellent analytical and problem solving skills - Excellent oral and written communication skills - Ability to write clear, detailed requirements and specifications documents - Ability to work independently as well as in team. - Creative, entrepreneurial and out-of-the-box thinking mentality - Confident with good presentations skills and willing to speak - Flexible and willing to work in a rotating On-Call system. - Fluent in English.

Computer sciences or equivalent due to experience. - Strong IT knowledge: Internet protocols, servers, OS. - Strong theoretical knowledge of security (proxies, firewalls, encryption, certificates) - Knowledge of Microsoft Windows and Microsoft applications such as, SQL Server, Internet Information Server, .NET server, XML Web services - Knowledge on file transfer applications - Broad knowledge of ITIL - Knowledge of Linux/Unix platforms - Experience in delivering results with day to day systems administration, operational support activities and related projects. - Knowledge of EDIFACT and XML are considered an asset - Good understanding of the basic supply chain processes is considered an asset.
